I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of IN and a Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider. I am trained in various modalities that include but are not limited to: Brainspotting, Food & Mood Connections, Pilates Movement Education, Mindfulness, Trauma Research Foundations Traumatic Stress Studies and the Neuroscience & Yoga in the Treatment of Trauma and Linda Thai’s Certification in Somatic Embodiment and Regulation. I enjoy utilizing art therapy, expressive art modalities movement and breath work in sessions when possible and appropriate.
I received my undergrad degree in Communications from the University of Louisville as well as a Master of Science Education degree from Purdue University Northwest. Prior to my counseling endeavors, I earned a certification in Pilates/Movement Education in 2011 and I spent nearly 15 years in corporate America working in digital marketing and newspaper advertising. My family is my main source of accomplishment. I am a wife of 16 years and a mother to 3 daughters ranging from 10-14. I love dogs and my fur babies Axel and Mac are my co-workers and shadows. You will certainly hear them snoozing in my sessions. Advocacy is also my passion. I love to promote the voices of the Down syndrome and disability communities as well as for all of my clients, friends and fellow community members.
In practice, I focus on meeting the needs of my clients. Modalities and tools used can include various techniques and resources. All sessions are collaborative and integrative with the goal to become a partnership with provider and client so that we can explore what will work best for each individual situation. I derive my practice from various theories that include: relational, polyvagal theory, attachment, IFS, humanistic and narrative theories.
Our work together will focus on the deep connection between the mind and body, using evidence-based and integrative modalities to gently guide you back to a sense of safety, resilience, and wholeness. Understanding how your thoughts and behaviors are associated to the felt emotions in your body takes practice and courage to make change with action. I specialize in helping women and adults find relief, reconnection, and regulation through a holistic, body-based approach to mental health. Whether you're navigating the emotional storm of menopause, living with chronic health anxiety, or carrying the weight of past trauma, you're not alone—and you don't have to heal in isolation.
I support clients through:
🌿 Nervous system regulation and polyvagal-informed therapy
🌬️ Breathwork and somatic practices that reconnect you with your body
💡 Brainspotting to access and resolve stored trauma
🌸 Support for women in perimenopause and menopause, including mood shifts, identity loss, and anxiety
🧠 Treatment for health anxiety, generalized anxiety, and stress-related conditions
🧘♀️ Mindfulness, movement, and trauma-informed education that empowers lifelong healing
Healing is not about fixing what's broken—it's about returning to yourself. We will create a safe, compassionate space where your symptoms are honored as messages from a nervous system seeking balance. Together, we'll explore what your body already knows: how to heal.
